Again over three weeks without posts…

I am really sorry about the lack of posts the last weeks. I have been busy at craft shows and the 2009 edition of the ‘design a calender’ project and after that I somehow needed a bit of a break ^_^… but I found a great french artist illustrator at Flickr yesterday and I am about to write a post!


you are safe with me tonight, my first woodcut edition

I went and joined a print making course at Inverlochy Art School in Wellington. Basia Smolnicki’s eight week (3 hours a week) crash course through printmaking was covering an introduction to printmaking, colographs, woodcut, dry point and acid etching and I really loved it.
I never ever thought that woodcut printmaking would be something I am interested in, but the moment I sat down and began to cut into the wood (using a sharp tool ^_^) I knew that this is working really well for me Read the rest of this entry »
