How-to Printmaking Video in the Making

Producing a series of videos about how to make some nice stuff is hard work. Juggling audio and video, materials and tools, paper, ink and lighting while patching up creative differences is one way to spend weekends… neither is having only 6 square meters to move and noisy neighbours really helpful ^_^  ….

Sidenotes…

Oops! No post for almost 3 weeks. Thats a no go ^_^! I am so sorry. I moved houses and was too busy in my daytime job… But this weekend is a long weekend in NZ so I am catching up fast. My new studio is almost set up. Needles and threads ready and pencils sharpened!

Updates coming soon. It is late October so it is time for the calender project. It is the 6th edition and my first time being part of the organiser team. Exciting! And my team is already complete… More info soonish! See you…


Needle and Thread Drawing #1

I thought I try something new. So I took my mermaid ink drawing and used it as a kind of draft for this needle and thread drawing… It is sewn using my sewing machine, extra strong thread on a fine linen fabric and stretched over a canvas. The stretching was quite tricky though…

The first 7 items are ready to sell! I changed fabrics and colors one last time, I decided to hand-print the first labels, the woven ones will take their time. I might show all items to Mindy next week, I hope she likes them!
