These are Matreshkas by Russian artist Irina Troiskaya. This set of strange characters includes an ant-eater, sloth, koala, armadillo, Alcatraz azure, duck-bill and echidna. And Irina is right by saying “It’s good to be in a little bit weird company”….

Mia – the artist behind manOmine – is investigating in the “infinite possibilities of combining [her] knitting, stitching, gluing, sowing, felting into making small and big things” (Quote manOmine.etsy.com) and she does it very well ^_^. Rodger and his friend Pip are coming in a hand painted wooden box together with Rodger’s picnic set – with chocolate cake and a cup for a tea in a picnic basket! And a warm quilt with a pillow for those cosy nights. I would love to have a have a picnic with those two ^_^…

I was busy finding a new place to live – again! ARGH housing in Wellington is “§$%&… I will move to the new place in Mount Vic on Sunday, so everything is a mess and I have almost no time at all for the nice and beautiful things in life ^_^! But… I managed to put some pictures of craftstock on flickr.…

There are these unbelievable moments where you find something so unique, so magical that you just look at it speechless and in awe. For me this exact moment is when craft becomes art and this is little creature is an example. It is one of a two part artwork titled self-love “The last hug” by psychoticfiction Barcelona, Spain.
