Juniper, Newtown, Wellington

Juniper - designer florist, gifts and gallery - by Mindy Dalzell in Newtown is one of my favorite shops when it comes to design toys, cards, bags made in New Zealand and especially made around Wellington. So on my last Newtown tour I was lucky Mindy was there and I asked her if i can take some pictures. I love the “bung hamster” and the “flying mermaid”!

Neighbourhood Book, by Rinzen

On my last visit to my second favorite art supplier in Wellington i found this piece of art. You will see it, you will feel it, you will love it. In 2004 the Australian design and art collective RINZEN initiated the Neighbourhood Project. 20 blank hand-made toys were passed around the world being reworked and remade each step of the way by various artist around the world. The book shows the dolls in various steps on their journey.
